Louisville is becoming the hub for the aging care industry, and we are thrilled to have our home base in the leading city for elder care! Our very own President/CEO, Merrily Orsini, recently spoke to Louisville Business First about aging care industry trends and projections for the future. Having been active in the home health care industry since 1981, Merrily has seen firsthand the changes and trends that affect businesses that provide elder care services.
As she tells Lucy M. Pritchett, Louisville Business First Correspondent, “Aging is not the same as it was at the beginning of the 20th century. Then, the life expectancy was 46 to 48 years old. Today, it is 78.” The enormous increase in the aging population means competition between companies that provide elder care services, from in-home health care to retirement communities, is on the rise. Merrily addresses these issues as well as how companies can market themselves better in light of these changes. Read the full Business First article here.
