Media Relations Specialist

corecubed is currently seeking a dynamic, action-oriented, full-time publicist to work both internally on promotion and also with our agency’s clients. The applicant must have significant experience with both strategy and implementation, as well as a strong background in media relations. The applicant also must have a proven track record of success and portfolio to support experience. Experience with direct marketing is a plus.

Responsibilities will include:

Creating, editing, implementing and managing multiple PR campaigns
Crafting angles, writing press releases, pitching, following up and securing media
Copy writing for both print and digital mediums (brochures, product sheets, bylined articles, Web sites, newsletters etc.)
Project management (liaise with necessary designers and team members in order to meet deadlines in timely, cost-effective manner)
Media buying and planning
Securing personal appearances and speaking opportunities
Maintaining calendar and submissions for recognition opportunities

Additionally, ideal candidate must be:

Self-directed and comfortable working independently. We are a virtually run company with a tight team of experts who work from their individual remote locations.
Accountable for time. We require employees to maintain weekly activity reports as well as weekly client reports for billing purposes.
Able to use “outside the box” thinking to present results-oriented solutions.
Proficient with Cision and ProfNet.

Qualifications:

Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively.
Excellent writing skills.
At least 5-7 years’ experience in a non-assistant role.
4-year degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism or like subject.

Must be comfortable and have experience with working in a home office environment. Must also have home office set up by the time employment begins!
